However, because of cultural predilections towards conflict avoidance, neutrality, peer acceptance and face-saving dispositions, the effectiveness of peer assessment with Japanese students is less than optimal even under ideal conditions. While, under typical conditions it can be completely ineffective. In recent times, the application of distributed consensus, and the principals of trustless systems as outlined in “The Byzantine Generals’ Problem” have received much attention in the realm of technology, for example the use of trustless systems. This paper intends to demonstrate that these principles of distributed consensus along with objective criteria can also be applied, in a practical way to a classroom setting as a method of increasing the effectiveness of peer assessment with Japanese students.","subitem_description_type":"Other"}]},"item_20_publisher_5":{"attribute_name":"出版者","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_publisher":"崇城大学"}]},"item_20_source_id_6":{"attribute_name":"ISSN","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_source_identifier":"2185-7903","subitem_source_identifier_type":"ISSN"}]},"item_20_subject_9":{"attribute_name":"国立情報学研究所 メタデータ主題語彙集","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"Departmental Bulletin Paper","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_files":{"attribute_name":"ファイル情報","attribute_type":"file","attribute_value_mlt":[{"accessrole":"open_date","date":[{"dateType":"Available","dateValue":"2016-07-07"}],"displaytype":"detail","filename":"11 sojokiyou_41_Brian Patrick THOMAS.pdf","filesize":[{"value":"2.1 MB"}],"format":"application/pdf","licensetype":"license_8","mimetype":"application/pdf","url":{"label":"The Use of Distributed Consensus as a Method for Analyzing Peer Assessment","url":"https://sojo-u.repo.nii.ac.jp/record/950/files/11 sojokiyou_41_Brian Patrick THOMAS.pdf"},"version_id":"4e6f3531-6d9c-4155-abbd-8d5a879f103c"}]},"item_keyword":{"attribute_name":"キーワード","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_subject":"formative assessment ","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":" distributed consensus ","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"},{"subitem_subject":" peer evaluation","subitem_subject_language":"en","subitem_subject_scheme":"Other"}]},"item_language":{"attribute_name":"言語","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_language":"eng"}]},"item_resource_type":{"attribute_name":"資源タイプ","attribute_value_mlt":[{"resourcetype":"departmental bulletin paper","resourceuri":"http://purl.org/coar/resource_type/c_6501"}]},"item_title":"The Use of Distributed Consensus as a Method for Analyzing Peer Assessment","item_titles":{"attribute_name":"タイトル","attribute_value_mlt":[{"subitem_title":"The Use of Distributed Consensus as a Method for Analyzing Peer Assessment"},{"subitem_title":"The Use of Distribunted Consensus as a Method for Analyzing Peer Assessment","subitem_title_language":"en"}]},"item_type_id":"20","owner":"3","path":["35"],"pubdate":{"attribute_name":"公開日","attribute_value":"2016-07-07"},"publish_date":"2016-07-07","publish_status":"0","recid":"950","relation_version_is_last":true,"title":["The Use of Distributed Consensus as a Method for Analyzing Peer Assessment"],"weko_creator_id":"3","weko_shared_id":-1},"updated":"2023-07-25T10:16:30.705825+00:00"}
