Additionally, he was an art(craftsmanship) educator most of his life at ceramics production studio. However, very few papers and books reference him. Furthermore, most of the descriptions in those papers and books are only a simple introduction to him. As an early stage in research on Terauchi, the purpose of this paper is to resolve the present circumstances and problems by analising preceding studies. First, in Chapter 1, I survey the life of Terauchi and confirm a his achievements. Next, in Chapter 2 Section 1, I present records and references about him and his works in local history research books, then, in Section 2, I present papers aimed at Terauchi or papers wich feature comparisons of him. Finally, in Chapter 3, I clearly present the issue of how a researcher of modern Japanese sculpture and ceramic sculpture should work by analysing the preceding studies referenced in Chapter 2, in on effort to survey problems and indicate resolved and unresolved points related to the subject matter.}, pages = {3--25}, title = {陶彫家寺内信一に関する先行研究とその問題点}, year = {2014} }
